Anthony Gallucci

Anthony Gallucci is an author, educator, researcher, and dedicated father whose work bridges transpersonal psychology, African and Afrocentric epistemologies, and contemplative inquiry. Born in Mt. Vernon, New York, and shaped by a life of resilience and reflection, Gallucci pursued his academic journey from Ithaca College to earning an MA in Contemplative Religious Studies from Naropa University, where he later joined the faculty as a Visiting Professor of Psychology. He is currently a PhD candidate in East-West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, focusing his research on masculinity, fathering, and African-centered psychological frameworks. 

Gallucci’s teaching spans transpersonal theory, Jungian psychology, multicultural counseling, and Peace Studies, and he is known for his culturally responsive, equity-centered pedagogy that empowers students to engage deeply with self and society. 

As an author, Gallucci explores the intersections of spirituality, identity, and liberation. His published works include explorations of Dharma, mysticism, and ancestral wisdom that seek to broaden contemporary understandings of psychological and spiritual experience. 

Beyond academia and writing, Gallucci’s community engagement — from founding the Boulder African American History Center to contributing to regional media — reflects his commitment to justice-oriented dialogue and inclusive narratives of human experience. 

His ongoing scholarship and published works invite readers into contemplative landscapes where healing, equity, and transformation converge.
