Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Cate moved to Oahu in 2015 where she now lives in the beautiful city of Honolulu. One of her ultimate passions is helping people remain and thrive in the game of life! She absolutely LOVES the study of the human body, the art and science of physical movement, and empowering clients over the obstacles to their physical endeavors, whether that's climbing mountains, surfing the big waves, releasing the champ within or simply enjoying life to the fullest!
She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2005 with an Outstanding Student Award from the Michigan Physical Therapy Association. Her academic study included a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She, along with her research team members, received the 2006 Student Research Award from the American Physical Therapy Association after presenting their research on a national platform in San Diego, CA. She's somewhat of a serious nerd and LOVES to use her knowledge of the human body to bring the BEST out of her clients! To her, studying the human body is loving humanity as she links the two in her work! Over the last 14 years of practice and study, this endeavor gets sweeter and sweeter as the time goes by.
Launching a project titled, Train With Intelligence, she hopes to bring this love of sport, movement and the human body together to impact athletes and empower their athletic pursuits!
