Marshall Chiles

Outside of being a family man, Marshall Chiles is a comedian, author and idiot. He started stand-up comedy in 1999 as a road comic and quickly realized he did not like the road. His goal was to perform stand-up and sleep in his own bed at night while also being able to provide for a family.

He built one of the most respected comedy clubs in the world, Laughing Skull Lounge, and authored books like 'Your Presentation is a Joke' which is an Amazon best seller and a text book at The University of Alabama (which just means it has lots of pretty pictures in it).

His second book 'Cool Kids Share' came from a life lesson he taught his first son when he was 4 years old on a playground where some toolbag kid did not want to share a toy. Marshall told his son, "Don't worry little buddy Only cool kids share and since that kid is not sharing, he is not cool... so why would you want to play with him." After hearing parents say they like the phrase 'cool kids share' over the years, he finally turned it into a children's book with great reviews. The second version is also an activities book.

His third book, My Colonoscopy & Me, comes was initially written in the waiting room of his first 'exam.' After reading the poem on stage to lots of laughter, he decided to turn it into a children's book for adults.
