Barbara Eckhoff

Barbara Eckhoff, born near Hannover/Germany in 1968, was drawn to faraway places at an early age. With her degree in hotel management, she worked in hotels all over in Germany, spent a year in Canada as an au-pair before settling down with her husband and their two daughters in a small village in Schleswig-Holstein. In her spare time, she enjoyed writing stories, which primarily ended up in a drawer ( and that's where they still are today).

" Ideas constantly haunt my head and unfortunately I never had time to write them down," she says of herself.

In 2013, she emigrated with her family to Florida/USA. It was there, when she began to get more serious about writing. In the meantime, three books have been published. Today she lives with her husband and their Golden Retriever in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Virginia and runs a bed and breakfast hotel.
