Chris Malone

Chris Malone was the first female thriller author to join the ranks of Burton Mayers Books.

She has worked for over 35 years in education; in early years, as a primary teacher and headteacher, and leading council education teams, and now as a primary school governor and volunteer for Values-based Education. Chris is currently working on a doctorate, focusing on early education and values.

Following publication of 'Zade', a dystopian satire on the current education system in England, her second novel #stoptheglitch is a thriller set in an outdoor education centre in a post-pandemic world where a technological 'glitch' threatens the very fabric of modern civilisation.

Second in the #glitch series is #isolate, released in October 2021. #isolate is a standalone political thriller set in the autumn of 2024. Unrest in Britain’s discordant society is maturing, and while a self-satisfied government drifts further away from compassion, the opposition is bickering. Will #Spoiler topple the government, using a subtle algorithm? Is Miranda a collaborator, or is she simply an ambitious woman with a complicated past who made a mistake?

#FutureProof completes the trilogy, published in 2023.

In 2026, Coda, A Dementia Love Song is published; a memoir offering lyrical insight into living with dementia. Coda is a poetic and poignant final letter to a loved one.
