My name is Derek Crysell, but prefer to be known as DC, I have always had a creative mind for story telling and my own unique way of writing Poetry and story's, I used to watch a lot of films and television as a child, I was born in the late 60's and grew up watching 70's T.V. I am a fan of Monty Pythons Flying Circus, the Goodies and Faulty Towers, I love humor and am always joking with my friends and family and colleagues at work. I have always had a passion for writing and have only just this May 2020 decided to release my work to share it with you, I was lucky enough to work for a transport firm in my early work life delivering Lotus Cars to dealerships and also meeting the odd celebrities along the way. I got married in 1989 and am still happily married in the same relationship and I have two children whom have grown up listening to me reading them books when they were small, testing my story's on them and encouraging them to live happy lives. I always wanted to be on stage as a child and maybe get into television as a career but unfortunately it was not to be. I do however remember acting out the Tony Handcock sketch The blood donor at school on the stage when i was fourteen years old much to the amusement of of the parents. I have mellowed over the years and have learned a great deal about people and how they can be influenced by creative writing and that they can relate to what they are reading , I am a firm believer that when I write a story I must make the reader believe that they are in the story and let their imagination carry them away to where they want to be.
