Koa De'Angelo

A little about how this wonderfully illustrated novel came to be.

Koa De’Angelo, a professional purchaser and traveler, he has traversed the globe for many years, searching for exotic works of art, one-of-a-kind sculptures, and many of the most expensive eye-catching examples of unique human creativity, purchasing unique items for gift shops and high-end boutiques in California and Hawaii.

He was very careful not to wander too far outside his path or destination of any venture he chose, whether it was traveling on the remote roads of Thailand, trudging through the rain forests of Brazil, or wandering deep into the jungles of Indonesia. Hence, he truly thought he was safe and had always known exactly where he was going. Little did he realize in the material world he had embraced and selected, spiritually he was lost.

Koa now claims while in a life-threatening circumstance, God entered his life… Unexpectedly.He says, “before his revelation, he was having way to much fun in life to consider God, much less Jesus Christ.”

Soon after, he learned there was a quote from the bible in the NKJV Gospel of John verse 15:16. It read, “You did not choose me but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain. That whatever you ask the Father in my name, He may give to you” that verse changed his life.

Koa explains that absolutely none of his personal experiences throughout his own life could have contributed in any way to the story he has written.

He suggests that through prayer and supplication he was fully and wholly spiritually inspired to write this Christian based fiction novel.

Koa states, “the events, places, and many circumstances described within the pages of his new novel are accurate and quite possible. Biblical historical fiction has always had a foundation of Truth.

Soldiers’ Salvation is the story of a year-long adventure that completely changed the lives of two young brothers. Set in the first century AD 29 to AD 30. It is a chronology of events, starting with their induction into the Imperial Roman army and continuing on to some days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Golden Box, a story of a secret heirloom that has been handed down through the millennia of time from grandmother to granddaughter.

Some of the chapters in these two books share instances from the four New Testament gospels of the Bible. What is imaginative in the narrative is largely detail of what has been left open in the biblical and historical accounts. Nothing has been included that did not seem a reasonable assumption.

Through spiritual inspiration, while writing the first story, the author believed it was more than a fable or apologue. One of the thoughts in his mind was to induce readers to go to the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and hear what the authors themselves had to say first hand.

The second story touches on the unmistakable fact, not all that someone deems wonderous can appreciated in the same way by others. To one person, something may have great sentimental value but would it be worthless to someone else? The beautiful part is, God lets us as individuals, decide what is precious to us.

The author explains, after years of being carefree and not paying a bit of attention to anything spiritual, unexpectedly, the Spirit of God had touched his heart and lead him on a path to redemption.

In this book, there is no intention here to rationalize. The author only wanted to provide stirring material that was not only entertaining but perhaps would give the individual reader food for thought.

For the avid reader whether being a believer in Christ or not the author believes one will be swept away into a story that will captivate them and for-fill them not only with enjoyment but will let them come away with a deeper sense of understanding as to just what the one that many call the messiah, went through before his death.
