the place to delve into subjects

to explore the nuances, the shadings and yes,

to see the unexpected revealed.

Writing, yes,

a conversation that starts with our conscious minds

but where the unconscious feels free to drop in

to suggest or inject something,

the something that may sparkle

and light up a new path, a new idea

and leave me with the unmistakable sense

that the effort was well worth my time.

I come to it with an interest in current affairs

and the desire to highlight our humanity,

our interdependence,

our need for each other

even as I strive vigorously

to be as self reliant as my powers permit.
