Antonia Merzon

Antonia Merzon provides legal and consulting expertise related to security, investigations,

and law enforcement, especially as they intersect with the worlds of law, technology, privacy,

and fraud. Antonia founded and led the Identity Theft Unit (since renamed the Cybercrime and Identity Theft Bureau) at the New York County District Attorney’s Office (DANY). Under her leadership, the unit investigated and prosecuted a wide array of significant cybercrime and virtual currency money laundering cases, while developing robust digital forensic and other investigative capabilities. Since leaving DANY, she has used her expertise as a lawyer and consultant in a variety of areas.

Her book, “Cybercrime Investigations: A Comprehensive Resource for Everyone”, provides practical and helpful guidance for anyone who encounters and investigates cybercrime. She wrote this book to encourage people from all sectors and professional backgrounds to take on more and better cybercrime investigations.
