Mr. John Morrison

John Morrison is a retired Naval Officer who lives with his wife Dot in beautiful Mill Bay, British Columbia (BC), Canada. He started writing after he retired from 37 years of service in the Royal Canadian Navy.

"I have always wanted to write but procrastinated on this passion for most of my life. I did not really start writing seriously until I retired. Having travelled most of the world through my time in the Navy, I feel I can mine many experiences to facilitate the storytelling. As an example, "Kurofune: The Black Ships," my first book, is a war and love story that has the civilian tragedy that occurred during the Battle of Saipan as a backdrop. A visit there in 1974 piqued my interest in that tragic tale of sacrifice and suffering."

John's books include The Caminoman, his latest and fifth book; "Red Jewel," "Monk's Orchard," "Kurofune: The Black Ships," and "I thought I'd Died and Gone to Heaven."
