Dan G. Dimitriu

Dan Dimitriu is an engineer, nationally awarded educator, inventor, and author who has spent decades developing visual and spatial learning methods that support STEM success and reading development. He is the recipient of the 2019 ASEE Meritorious Award for Connecting Engineering and Technological Literacy, the 2015 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring, and the 2006 NISOD Award for Excellence in Teaching. Over the years, several students with dyslexia who used his 3D alphabet book reported noticeable improvements in reading confidence and skills. His work has been tested in classrooms, museums, and NASA-supported programs.

As for hobbies, he enjoys traveling, reading, and creating challenging educational materials such as books, games, and toys. One of the games, Puzzletters, based on the book A, B, See...in 3D won the Best Educational Concept at the 2017 Chicago Toys and Games Convention.
