E. Alan Fleischauer is an award-winning author and poet, as well as a highly regarded financial management professional and fiduciary.
His recent book Reconfigurement focuses on the importance of planning ahead, working in a job you love, and having lots of fun before you retire. It covers testing for career aptitudes, investing, life protection, and affordable health insurance. There are chapters on retirement planning, long-term care alternatives, 401(k) plans and IRAs, and Social Security strategies, with a section debunking various Social Security myths. In each short and to-the-point chapter, Mr. Fleischauer prepares readers to lead a rich and active life before and after retirement.
Mr. Fleischauer has also authored a series of Western novels with JT Thomas as his protagonist. The first book, Rescued, won the Laramie Award First Prize as the Best Americana Western of 2019. Mr. Fleischauer continued JT’s saga with Hunted (a finalist for the Laramie Award), Kidnapped, Tommies, and JT’s World, the final book in the series. His next Western is Decimation, the first novel in the How the West Was Won and Lost series.
Further, Mr. Fleischauer’s contemporary mystery thriller Just Die won first place in the Chanticleer International Paranormal category. It introduces Jake Silver, a financial planner who had a mild stroke and woke up with a special power or curse: the ability to kill by simply pointing at animals and people and saying “just die.” Just Die is an Amazon bestseller.
Additionally, his picture book Charlie Lou Goes to the Rodeo was inspired by the birth of his granddaughter, Charlie Lou. Mr. Fleischauer hopes that this book will create awareness about autism.
Mr. Fleischauer’s book of short stories entitled Just Another Morning is centered on U.S. holidays and special events. The title story of the collection focuses on the tragic events of September 11, 2001. It was a short story contest semi-finalist.
Alan also won First Prize in the 2020 poetry contest sponsored by Two Sisters Publishing for his poem “Suicide Is Forever.”
