Jeffrey J. Fleisher

Jeffrey Fleisher is retired from more than 30 years in Research & Development with the Central Intelligence Agency where he focused on research in photographic image quality and image analysis. He holds advanced degrees in Photographic Science and Computer Science. In addition to photography he is a professional woodworker and loves to work on his model railroad layout with his grandkids. He writes a monthly tool review article for Highland Woodworking's Wood News Online newsletter. He loves to build furniture in his workshop, as well as spend time in the field, with his camera, photographing flowers and scenic panoramas.

Building a model railroad with his grandkids provides the perfect environment to utilize his skills in photography to bring the layout alive. Whether it is to provide pictures for Facebook and Instagram or for the book, “Shooting Iron Horses...Photographing Your Model Railroad” he likes to tell a story with his camera.
