Sandy Lawrence

Sandy Hoath Lawrence works as an author, instructor, consultant, and a willing contributor of expertise when it comes to helping people and organizations transition and transform. As a true thought leader, Sandy helps veterans transition from the military to the corporate world, especially in project management. She harnesses her efforts through her company Monster Smarts, dedicated to helping people, start-ups, and structured organizations to assess and deliver prescriptive recommendations for improvements to profitability, efficiency, market optimization and employee health within the Project Management ecosystem.

Having delivered highly-effective results in more than 5 diverse industries, her passion and appreciation for the military gave cause for her to be a Co-Founder of GR8Transitions4U.com with Jay Hicks. Under her previous name of Cobb, Sandy worked with Jay to co-author multiple books and companion guides aimed at helping military transition into the corporate workforce; specifically, in the areas of Project Management, Logistics, IT, and Cybersecurity. Sandy is a USF Bull alumni with degrees in MIS and a Masters in Curriculum and Technology. Certifications include the PfMP, PgMP, PMP, as well as the Lean Six Sigma green belt and ITIL frameworks. This powerful combination of knowledge has propelled Sandy to share her knowledge and expertise with people and organizations through coaching, mentoring, and training.

Her volunteer focus has been primarily with the Project Management Institute (PMI), where she has been a member for over 15 years serving at both the chapter and global levels. She graduated from the PMI Leadership Institute Master Class (LIMC) in 2011 and in 2012, and was honored to be the LIMC Advisor for the 2013 EMEA class. She dedicates her free time to launch a grass roots effort within PMI to recognize and launch the Military Liaison program aimed at helping military in their quest for project management careers and knowledge.
