Linda S. Cunningham was raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, by Larry and Evelyn Stephenson. She worked for over twenty years with the Merrill’s Marauders Association and the Merrill’s Marauders Proud Descendants Association to petition Congressmen and Senators for the cause of the Congressional Gold Medal for the Marauders.
She previously wrote and published a historical fiction novel Early Thursday which chronicles a fictional family set during the infamous Hurricane Audrey that ravaged Cameron and Lake Charles, Louisiana, in 1957. Cunningham placed in the top five of the Houston International Film Festival and won the silver award in the Charleston Film Festival. She won the silver award in Readers Favorite for Early Thursday. Early Thursday was originally self-published with Over 75 five star reviews on amazon. She has won awards for screenwriting.
Mrs. Cunningham has a B.A. in English and Creative Writing from the University of Houston. She also has a B.S. and M.Ed. in Health and Physical Education from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
