Dimitra V. Mousioli

Dimitra V. Mousioli was born in Athens-Greece, and for the last 8 years, she lives in the UK with her family.

She is a Lawyer and Accredited Mediator specialized in Family Mediation. She also holds a Master’s degree in “Applied Positive Psychology and Counseling Psychology" and a Postgraduate Diploma in Negotiations.

She has also been trained in “Child Inclusive Mediation” as she strongly believes that children should be heard in a divorce process, in “Divorce and Parental Discipline Management“, in the “Prevention of School Bullying”, in “Non-Violent Communication” and in “Peer Mediation” a subject that she feels very passionate about.

She has been actively involved in the promotion of Family and Peer Mediation in Greece and in the UK through speeches, workshops, articles, and with her first attempt as an author writing a book for children; a fairy tale about Mediation: “The Elephant That Blows Rainbows."

She feels that the need for contact with those around us is universal. So, in order to communicate effectively all that people need is a little time, a friendly face, willing ears, and a heart ready to understand and empathize.

Her motto is not to put off our difficult conversations because what we fear they may reveal might not be so terrible after all.
