The first catalog of Manor Publishing Collective (MPC) books is being published now--during the COVID-19 epidemic. MPC is a unique publishing venture that focuses on publishing the creative work of people over 62 years of age. The important thing about Manor Publishing Collective (MPC) is that 1. Every author is over 62, with an average age now of 81. 2. The authors share a portion of their royalties with the other MPC authors, so even if a book doesn't sell well, each author gets something at royalty time. Given that these authors mostly have limited incomes, even a little extra is a lot. 3. Some of the authors' works are good and some are absolutely brilliant---but all of these MPC authors had these stories in their file cabinets or kitchen drawers and dreamed of being published. They didn't have the experience (or the agent necessary) to approach traditional publishers or didn't have funds to use vanity presses. Of course, self-publishing was always an option, but most of these talented folks didn't have computer skills necessary to create professional eBooks. 4. Every one of the authors has something of historical significance to offer. Given the average age of MPC authors, these viewpoints and stories would have been lost to history if MPC-hadn't emerged to publish these books for the seniors at a very low cost. (The authors pay 25-40% of their net royalties to MPC and a simple $300. publishing fee that helps cover basic operating costs for MPC.)

The Manor Publishing Collective (MPC) is unique among publishers and independents. Our mission at MPC--get these authors published before they are no longer around to share their experiences and talent with the world and create a legacy they can be proud of.

As an example, Glenn Flenniken is one of the last surviving members of a generation that served in WWII and the Korean War. At the age of 94, he offers stories and narrative poetry that truly describe the life, times, and warships he was involved with.
