Julie Blackman

Julie Maria Blackman loves animals, and furry felines hold a special place in her heart. With the frisky little cats, she’s had over the years, it was only a matter of time before she’d start writing stories about them. Julie infuses her playful personality into her pet cat, Lexie’s character, with a dash of humor for a story that children and parents alike are sure to enjoy.

It was the Spring of 2014 that Julie discovered her love for writing fiction. For the next few years, she wrote short stories and has been published in several anthologies by Inspire Christian Writers. Writing a children’s book is a dream come true for Julie.

Author’s Note: I am so excited to share this fun-loving children’s book with the world. I feel that I have so much to give through my writing, and when I put pen to paper, I can create something beautiful to share.

About the Illustrator

Buffie Biddle is an author and illustrator who specializes in stories and illustrations for children. She also enjoys partnering with other authors, especially for non-profit causes. Buffie’s work primarily involves wildlife and the natural world, as that is her favorite subject matter and something with which she feels an intense connection. In addition to writing and painting, Buffie is passionate about wildlife conservation and has actively volunteered on various conservation projects in Latin America. For four years, she has volunteered in a variety of ways for ARA Manzanillo in support of the repopulation of Great Green Macaws as she is a devoted bird nerd.
