About David Perkins
David Perkins was born in 1957 to parents who had survived and experienced the 1918-1919 Spanish Flu, the Roaring Twenties, the pre-electric/indoor plumbing era, the Great Depression, World War II, the Space Race, the Cold War, the Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam, and the turbulent sixties. Their experiences played a major role in the formation of the values they ingrained in their children. Mr. Perkins’s parents instilled in him a love of God, family, country, and his fellow man.
Mr. Perkins applied these values daily in his classroom lessons as an educator for thirty-eight years. Now he applies these same values in each book that he writes. The pages of his books are filled with life lessons as the characters experience both tragedy and triumph. Mr. Perkins believes that each of us should do all that we can to make this world a better place. Not just because we have lived, but by living we have made a difference in the lives of others.
Besides writing, Mr. Perkins enjoys being with his family, his church family, music/singing, traveling, gardening, cycling, and any outdoor activities. He resides in Georgia with his wife of over forty years and attends a Baptist Church where he leads congregational music. Mr. Perkins has two children and three grandchildren.
Currently David Perkins has two books available on Amazon:
