Ali Mahmood

Ali Mahmood was educated in the UK and Pakistan with degrees in Politics, Economics and Law. His career has spanned all three fields. His political activities have taken him from jail to the Senate. He spent fourteen years in the UK where he was given political asylum.

His business interests have included television in Dubai and Pakistan, private power generation in Pakistan, construction in Abu Dhabi, and trade in Kazakhstan.

He has written three books. The first, Saints and Sinners, Why Some Countries Grow Rich and Others Don't, was published by Harper Collins. His second book, Muslims, was published in India and Pakistan, and was also made into an eight part video series on YouTube, titled Muslims by Ali Mahmood. His third book is about China, and is titled Enter the Dragon. The Story of the China Miracle
