Nicole Vick is a seasoned and respected public health professional with strong relationships with community-based organizations, academia, and other stakeholders. For more than 15 years she has managed programs focused on a variety of social justice issues. She is an experienced and skilled educator, bringing both her work and lived experiences into the classrooms of some of the most prestigious colleges in Southern California.
Her love for her community of South Central Los Angeles manifested into a life of civic engagement, serving as a member on two Boards of Directors and as a City Commissioner.
Although her early years of self-doubt and discomfort in her own skin set her up for decades of bad choices such as teen pregnancy, unsuitable partners, and poor body image, she channeled those painful moments of her life into prime opportunities for personal growth. She uses her skills to connect, build, and create community, comradery, and a sense of purpose.
