In May 2020, Ricky published ‘Urology for Medical Students and Junior Doctors’, a concise grab-and-go textbook published as an e-book and in print. It is available from Amazon and all major e-book distribution sites. This textbook has been featured on the British Association of Urological Surgeons training resource pages and was recommended in Urology News.
January 2023 saw the publication of two textbooks, co-authored with Rebecca Richardson: 'General Medicine and Surgery' and 'Clinical Specialties'. These revision guides provide clear and concise revision notes for the entire medical school curriculum and will be helpful for medical students and allied healthcare professionals alike.
In February 2026, Ricky co-authored 'UKMLA Practice Questions for medical student revision' with Rebecca Richardson. This book features more than 500 expert-written multiple-choice questions, designed specifically to support medical students preparing for the UK Medical Licensing Assessment. What makes it truly unique is the systematic presentation of the rationale for each correct answer — using colour-coding to highlight important positive and negative findings to help develop not only knowledge but also exam technique and clinical reasoning.
Ricky donates all profits from the sale of his books to charities which fund medical research and medical education.
What little spare time he has, he mostly spends with his family, and dogs and exploring the countryside either on foot or on a bike.
