I am a fierce advocate for recovery. I bring a lifetime of study experience to my research and writing, some of the most dramatic learning I received came from the ten years living on the streets in addiction. Though the last five years has given me a new look at this reality from the other side of the desk. Eighteen years in recovery (2020) Rose as my friends call me, I have completely built a life that I can be proud of; a business owner, homeowner, mother of a daughter and son, along with my five grandchildren. Life is dreams come true from the very dark reality that once was my world!

My children and their children were the inspiration behind my ‘QUEST’ to make peace with the past and help my children do the same in order to break the cycle of Generational Dysfunction that plagues the lives of most who fall into the trap of Addiction. After purchasing my home and with my entire family and many friends in agreement to the idea of sharing their story with others who could benefit, it grew steadily from an idea into a 24/7-365 days a year international interactive recovery outreach guiding many thousands to a new and better life.

Addiction through the eyes of a recovering addict and the story it holds, I wrote The Big Trap… Just One Last High, never expecting to write additional work. I wrote this series, which has now turned into a new platform of Self-Driven Recovery for a problem that has been part of society for far too long. I began writing my own experience, strength and hopes not long after moving into my new home hoping to help those still suffering from addiction crisis and recovery stigma. My platform brings to the many that are falling behind but actually want help, the help they need.

The 3 book QUEST EMPOWERMENT SERIES is a recovery roadmap for those struggling with substance dependence. It will also help those family members along with friends seeking to help support them on their journey. This was the knowledge I first brought to my own family and friends seeking understanding.

My first book which was meant to bring an acute awareness of what the inevitable outlook into addiction is to those at-risk teens and young adults, in hopes of diverting them from years of struggle in addiction or the tragic reality of repairing their lives once they choose recovery.

I maintain a passionate vigil bringing harsh truths to those just testing the waters of addiction and positive direction to those needing help to attain or hold fast to their sobriety. An overarching goal for me today is joining the hearts, minds, and voices of the many to remove the ugly stigma placed on the recovering addict by society, becoming the greater impediment to their ultimate success. Everyone deserves a second and sometimes even a third chance at life’s happiness after the hard fought battle of addiction has been won successfully.

By truly embracing and engaging the two-fold solution we can each and all achieve serenity in recovery, whether our own or a stranger searching for something to believe in again.
