Patrick Schwientek holds a PhD in Genome Research of Industrial Microorganisms, MSc. in Genome Based Systems Biology and a B.Sc. in Bioinformatics. He previously worked for the US Department of Energy’s Joint Genome Institute where he studied metagenomes and the genetic code of novel bacteriophages among other things. He continued microbial research at Bayer, before founding his own startup, which is on a mission to end oral diseases through the targeted supplementation of beneficial bacteria.
