Stephen Weber spent his working life as a systems engineer, in a career built on the assumption that everything worth knowing could eventually be explained.
That assumption did not survive an April afternoon on a motorcycle. The accident put him in a coma for three weeks, and what he experienced during that time — a place he has come to call the place between here and there — sent him home with twelve lessons and the job of passing them on.
He has been at that work ever since. He tells the story in The Place Between Here and There: A Beautiful Near-Death Experience, walks through the twelve lessons one at a time in The Lessons Learned, and hands readers the practice itself in Mantras, Meditations and Good Vibrations — a book of guided meditations and mantras, with the craft of writing your own.
Every week he leads a gathering by that same name, where the meditations in these books were first spoken aloud, and where a six-foot gong does more for people in an hour than he can account for.
He is now retired and lives in Florida, which he did not want to move to and would not now leave. His constant companion is a puppy named Stitch.
