Jessica Keating

Jessica Keating is Assistant Professor of Early Modern Art and Architecture at Carleton College, She is the recipient of fellowships from the Fulbright Commission to Germany, the Deutscher Academisches Austauschdienst (DADD), the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, and the Mellon Foundation. Her book, Animating Empire: Automata, the Holy Roman Empire, and the Early Modern world was published by Penn State Press in 2018 and was awarded the Andrew W. Mellon Art History Publication Initiative Prize. She is currently working on her next book which addresses abundance, androgyny, eros, and myth in the collection of Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II.
