Dr. Wegner is a Neurodivergent adult who holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education and a PhD in Clinical Psychology. In addition to 5 decades of lived experience, Dr. Wegner is the Clinical Psychologist at the Autism and Behavior Center in Western Wisconsin, USA. Dr. Wegner has worked with young children with special needs for over 30 years working as a Birth-to-Three Teacher, a Special Education Teacher, and a Clinical Psychologist. In 1995 and 1999, Kristin was the head coach for Team USA-Wisconsin Special Olympics Aquatics Team. Dr. Wegner’s passion stems from a life of being misunderstood. For the last 15 years, she has worked tireless and often probono to serve autistic children and their families. Dr. Wegner’s mission has always been to provide the highest level of therapy for as many children as possible. After meeting with parent after parent who knew their child was autistic but unable to get help, she wrote the Brody the Lion Children’s Book Series to try and help even more children and families.
