I'm a retired Army Chaplain, ordained pastor, Bible teacher, and author living in Knoxville, Tennessee with my wife Robin. My journey to faith wasn't planned — it was forged in crisis. When our infant son nearly died, I surrendered my life to Christ and never looked back. That moment changed everything.
I went on to earn degrees from William Jewel College, Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.R.E. and M.Div.), Pittsburg State University (M.A. in Communications), and the U.S. Army War College (M.S.S.). I served 25 years as an Army Chaplain, retiring in 2008 as a Colonel — one of only a few Reserve Chaplains to attend the resident Army War College. I've pastored churches in Missouri, South Carolina, and Bolivia, South America, and had the privilege of serving as a participating translator of the Modern English Version Bible (MEV).
In 2020, I was diagnosed with a severe form of cancer and given two years to live. By the grace of God, I am completely cancer free. That experience deepened my urgency to write — to get God's truth into the hands of people who need it. Every book I write is born from that conviction.
