Dr. Stephen Royal Jackson

Dr. Stephen Royal Jackson has been a stress specialist since 1980 when he completed his dissertation on stress and received his doctorate in clinical and child psychology from the University of Virginia.

Late in 1995, Dr. Jackson had a life-changing spiritual experience which led him to leave the clinical practice of psychology a year later. In 1998, he founded SET (Stress Effectiveness Training) for Life Seminars. It was then he began to see how his shadow had been in the lead in the emotional form of a hero-rescuer-savior pattern and in the physical form of advanced glaucoma. He began to see how both were rooted in the post-traumatic stress of events in his early childhood and he shares aspects of his healing journey in all of his books.

Through his writing and seminars, Dr. Jackson is dedicated to helping people all over the world eliminate the needless suffering and senseless evil caused by ineffective ways of handling stress and conflict.

To this end, Dr. Jackson lectures and conducts seminars, and he has often appeared on national television and radio. Since 1995, he has been using a Christian—inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit—form of the deeply relaxing ancient healing art of Reiki. With the healing power of the Holy Spirit working through him, he has helped many people here and abroad find relief from stress and stress-related pain and disease. He has authored nine books that help us be more effective in the face of stress. All the books draw on insights found in psychology, and spirituality including the profound insights of enlightened teachers on consciousness.

In March of 2012, Dr. Stephen Jackson was inducted into the Delaware Basketball Hall of Fame. It's a miracle to even have been able to play basketball after having polio at the age of seven. But he did, even receiving an offer to play in the NBA. Instead, he pursued his doctoral studies in Clinical and Child Psychology.
