John Charles Hall

My name is John Charles Hall and I am the author of two books: 'Under the Yew Tree' and 'Ash before Oak'. I am currently writing the third in the trilogy: 'The Holly & the Ivy'.

This dystopian story starts in 1940 during WW2 and imagines that, after Dunkirk, German forces invade and occupy parts of SE of England. This is a story of the English Resistance and follows the lives of people living with the enemy in rural communities.

It's a dangerous time. Lives are lost and the determination and will of the people to resist is tested to the limit.
