Ben Jones

Ben Jones (1993-Present) is a Welsh historian and author who co-founded the sports history website 'The Football History Boys' (https://www.thefootballhistoryboys.com/), in 2013 with Gareth Thomas whilst at Swansea University. The website was award 'Best New Blog' at the Football Blogging Awards in 2014 and was nominated for 'Best Established Blog' in 2019.

Both Ben Jones and Gareth Thomas are teachers in a primary and secondary school respectively, and have a passion for sharing their love of the history of sport with their students. Their first book, Football's 50 Most Important Moments, was published in 2020 and takes an in-depth look at the beautiful game from 1857-Present day.

Their second book will be released in April 2021 entitled, The History of Football in 90 Minutes
