Jan M. Hill lives in two worlds - the real world and the fantasy world of her imagination, as well as others. I love weaving tales and adventures. While I've been writing for years, Asteria became my pet project, weaving the tales around its eight islands; now a part of a whole new continent, Xxaneth. There is so much to explore, design, add, and combine!

In real life, I am the mother of four children and eight grandchildren. I have a dog and a cat as well. I have been writing since I was 13. Over the years, between reading and extra classes, I've honed my skills - a never-ending project. This extends to other hobbies and activities as well. Creating quests for Dungeons and Dragons is very similar to writing a chapter in one of my books. Yes, I'm a Dungeon Master (and a player). I also enjoy playing Guild Wars 2 online with my family and friends. In addition, I like to read, draw, decorate cakes, try my hand at photography, research genealogy, and have a black belt in Kajukenbo.

Asteria: The Discovery was originally written for my middle son when he refused to read new books for school. After all, what kid doesn't like to read about himself? I took him on an adventure into another world where he and his best friend had to rescue his friend's little sister.. It worked. He started reading more. That led to Annese Does It Again, because my youngest son complained he wasn't in the first book. Since then, the series has entertained many children, teens, and adults; and they keep asking for more!!! Well, Rescuing Deavereaux joined the series in November of 2022. Like Father, Like Son wraps up the series when their fathers think they need to rescue their sons. Guess who does the rescuing. Like Father, Like Son is now available on Amazon.

In addition, A Gift In The Boonies begins a discovery for Kelly, a 13-year-old with some special abilities. As magic happens around her dreams and ideas, she gets sent to her aunt's house in the mountains of Montana. It turns out Aunt Eva has the same abilities. This fast-paced coming-of-age story leads Kelly from her solitary life at home to the adventures of the mountains with her cousin Brandon while imps attack the house, ghosts walk the family cemetery, and finding a very special friend in the mirror. Denizens in the Boonies starts testing Kelly's and Brandon's abilities with new archenemies and a little romance. Kelly gets taken over by a minor demon, but she doesn't know it. The battle to separate them leaves the kitchen in pieces and more than one person injured. The Rise of the Seth Drinel is the final book in this adventure. When their archenemy from Denizens becomes a real figure in their dimension, he wants to destroy Kelly, Brandon, and their friends, testing them to the max. Can they figure out his plans?
