Elyse qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and is a practising accountant supervised by the Institute of Financial Accountants. She started her Accountancy career at PwC in Malta in 2010 and has also practised in firms in Jersey, Channel Islands and Hampshire, UK.
In 2020, just six months after joining forces with another accountant to run an accountancy firm, he passed away, leaving Elyse to manage the company and all the clients by herself. She was thrown into being an employer, being the sole contact for over 100 clients and supporting all those clients remotely and through the Covid pandemic.
Luckily, Elyse’s background in business systems, IT, sales and marketing, along with her years of experience in accountancy, allowed her to flourish and learn a vast amount about herself and business in a very short time.
Elyse is a best-selling author, having achieved best-seller status on Amazon with two of her books to date. She has published multiple titles and is publishing more books every year. Her aim is to achieve a best-seller status with the Sunday Times.
Elyse has always loved reading books, but when she ran out of stories to read at the school library at the age of 15, she started writing her own. As an adult, she has the bug for writing and publishing books, mainly non-fiction, but she does have a sneaky plan to return to fiction very soon…watch this space.
Elyse lives in Hampshire with her two beautiful daughters, and the family is currently awaiting the arrival of two feline babies. She loves adventures in nature and shares her escapades on Instagram. You can also find her on YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn, talking passionately about business to whomever will listen!
