Heather G. Watts

Heather G. Watts grew up with her nose in a book and a head full of stories. Her primary school teaching background showed her how a good story can fire up a child’s imagination and be just as much fun for the adult reading it aloud as it is for the child listening.

After studying with the London School of Journalism under the guidance of Valerie Loh, and honing her skills with the author Tony Bradman’s “Writing Stories for Children”, she picked up a pen, drew story maps - as she’d taught many children to do - and began to bring Digger and Biscuit to life.

Now sharing her time between the UK and the Middle East, the author continues to be an avid reader, enjoys singing nonsense songs to her dogs (much to their bemusement) and is a lover of all things Golden Retriever.
