A. Lad Burgin

Leading Units and Teams to High Performance is Lad's second book. Lad is the President and CEO of HRMG, LLC., a management consulting firm that provides business, organizational, and leadership effectiveness services. For more than forty years, Lad has worked as a business executive and a consultant to other business executives and their teams. His consulting focus is working with executives as a confidential advisor and coach to help build and sustain high performance.

Lad is recognized internationally for his work with CEOs, their teams and boards. He has consulted with executives in more than 300 companies in twenty-five different industries around the world. He has served on the Board of Directors with five companies and has consulted with Boards to improve their effectiveness. He has worked with companies ranging in size from Silicon Valley start-ups to the top Fortune 100.

His previous positions include: President and CEO of Gynecare, Inc. (publicly traded); President and CEO of the Benefits Systems Division of the Transamerica Life Companies; Corporate Vice President Human Resources and Director of Management Development with Transamerica Corporation; and Manager of Advanced Management Development Programs with SCM Corporation.

Lad is the author of Leading Your Organization To High Performance, Kindle Publishing (2019), and numerous articles on leadership, organizational effectiveness and performance.

Lad is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned B.Sc., MBA, and Ph.D. (Management and Organizational Behavior) degrees and played football for legendary coach Woody Hayes.

He is an avid sailor and can be found is his spare time either working on his 40 foot ketch, Shadowside, or sailing out of Port Hadlock, WA. In 2016, he sailed the Shadowside from San Francisco to Hawaii and then on to Port Townsend, WA.
