Rodrigo Arenas-Carter

Visual artist, writer and researcher. M.A. in Literature.

His interests are performance art, NetArt and video art, with exhibitions in the USA, France, Guatemala, Chile, Colombia and Canada. He has obtained grants such as Fondart Nacional 2019 (Chile) and Experimenta/Sur 2016 (Colombia). His essay "Bodies in Scrutiny: Discussions on Transraciality and Performance" was awarded in the First Contest of Performance Theory (Mexico 2016), while "Practice and Poetics of Performance Art as Resistance in Latin America" obtained a Honorable Mention in the Essay Contest Contracorriente (Cuba 2016). In 2018 his book "La Vital Precariedad. Poesía y Performance en América Latina y Chile" was published by Editorial Académica Española.

Regarding poetry, he has published NYC30H (2010), La Santa Trinidad El Padre (2015) and Ven a Ver La Tierra desde Otro Lado (2017).

Nowadays he is co-editor of Ediciones La Maleta Ilegal.
