Jennifer E. Hale is a writer, teacher, and Highly Sensitive Person who believes even life’s messiest moments can become meaningful stories. Her first book, Have a Good Mourning, grew from the loss of her mother and her search for a more joyful, honest way through grief.
Her second book, No Hard Feelings (Except All of Them): Rerighting the Past to Reclaim Your Power, turns that same honesty inward. With humor, vulnerability, and very little interest in pretending she has it all figured out, Hale writes about sensitivity, anxiety, relationships, shame, and the experiences that shape who we become.
When she isn’t writing, Hale teaches fifth grade in Maryland and can usually be found swimming laps, writing about a restaurant she loved (or regretted), or searching for the perfect chocolate croissant. Her constant companion is Sue, a black pug with absolutely no concept of personal space.
