I have been a data analyst, a soldier, a technologist, and have been an environmentalist since high school (a very long time ago). I have an undergraduate degree in Economic Development and Environmental Studies, and an Interdisciplinary MA focused on Information Architecture and International Security, as well as graduate certificates in Identity Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, and one in Sustainability and Circular Economy from Cambridge Judge Business School.
I have been at Amazon Web Services since 2016, first as an Enterprise Strategist, and then as the Leader of our Digital Innovation program in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA.) Now I am the AWS Sustainability Leader for EMEA, working with companies to meet or exceed their sustainability ambitions, and in some cases to help invent the future we so urgently need.
Jonathan Allen and I wrote Reaching Cloud Velocity in order to share what we know with many more people than we could in meetings, in briefings, or at conferences. It turns out that writing is, as we call it at Amazon, a "scaling mechanism".
