Pavitra Menon

With a degree in Engineering and an MBA, Pavitra was all set to be another reliable widget of the great Indian production line. But this widget had a weakness. Fourteen years ago she was planted in British soil. An interest in history took root and she saw richness of India’s past through borrowed lenses. She learnt that among the great civilisations, only the Indus Valley’s script was still un-deciphered. Whilst Indians had made giant breakthroughs in every other sphere, their own ancient civilisation had stumped them.

Not one to shy away from a challenge, she decided to decipher the great Indus valley mystery using her copious imagination. She roped in the Ramayan (a possible contemporary of that great era) and used the turbulent yet pivotal marriage between India and Britain in the 19TH century as the moment of reckoning. Ever the optimist she offers hope. In her version the ancient legacy awaits in the shadows and is revealed with assistance from the supernatural.

River, Laughter, Moon & C is the result of her mind’s machinations. It is a story of mortal acts and immortal consequence.
