Indranil Gupta [1966 - 2019], an Indian born, first generation entrepreneur, was the Founder, CEO and Director of MERITT HR CONSULTANTS PVT. LTD. (www.merittconsultants.com), a niche and boutique Human Resources Consulting firm, which delivers value to the end customers through superior quality products and services, within attractive cost structures through its different ‘Centers of Expertise’ (COE).

Indranil was a PGDPM&IR (MBA in HR) from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, Jharkhand, India (Class of 1993), one of the leading Business Management Schools in Human Resources (Personnel Management & Industrial Relations) in India, Asia.

He has worked in various Leadership Roles with Companies like Sprint-RPG (RPG Enterprises), Ericsson-Hewlett Packard Telecom (EHPT), Mahindra-British Telecom (Tech Mahindra), Bharti-Televentures (Bharti Airtel) and Xansa (Steria), driving their Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Talent Performance and Talent Reward processes.

He was widely recognized and regarded in the industry as a thought leader and one of the pioneers in the domain of ‘Total Rewards’, whereby he has influenced and transformed organizations by intervening and re-structuring their systems and processes through his radical and pragmatic approach, so as to ensure that HR can give its best value for money in terms of numbers and be true ‘Business Partners’.

He has extensively delivered training and lecture sessions in the areas of HR and Total Rewards for participants and audiences across various levels, institutions and organizations. He has also been a guest speaker in national seminars, a visiting faculty in management institutes and other public forums.

He was also passionate about identifying, nurturing and developing talents, and has been a guide, mentor and coach to many budding, young and successful HR professionals.
