Blake R. Silver

Blake R. Silver is Associate Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at George Mason University, where he also serves as Director of Educational Pathways and Faculty Development in the Honors College. He received a PhD in sociology from the University of Virginia, where he was a Jefferson Fellow.

Dr. Silver's research focuses on culture and inequality in higher education. He teaches courses on social stratification, the sociology of education, social psychology, ethnography, and the transition to adulthood.
