First, let’s be clear! I am not a writer, but I am a storyteller, an illustrator, and a professional book designer. That’s a short summary of my book relations, which is kind of… short. The real reason why I created this series that I called The Art Family (and keep expanding it) is my life-long connection with Art. I discovered Art at the very young age of 3 or 4 (based on some artifacts from that time collected by my parents), and it quickly became my favorite pass time.

Left to myself, with some art supplies and an abundance of books, I began creating my ever-changing imaginary world that is still my favorite place to be. Art is Magical! Creativity is Powerful! I want to share it with everybody. That’s the real reason for the development of The Art Family.

Why Family? Because for me the Timeless Art and Artists are my loving family. I am nurtured by the process of creativity and the experience of the art ever created. I am happy at home with the History, Tools, Principles, and Elements of Art, and I want to welcome everyone.

Sometimes I feel like an Art Fairy, sprinkling the seeds of creativity here and there, working with students or just inspiring people to create.

I hope that my books, especially the coloring ones will do just that, inspire the kids and families to create.
