Steve Donohoe

From 2017 to 2019 I travelled to meet some of the rock stars of the beekeeping world (in my opinion). I visited the USA, New Zealand, France, and the UK, and I learned so much. The result was my book 'Interviews with Beekeepers' published by ZunTold, April 2020.

In 2023 I worked on my latest book, 'Healthy Bees, Heavy Hives - How to Maximise your Honey Crop,' published by Northern Bee Books. My co-author, Paul Horton, is a successful UK bee farmer, and former bee inspector. We tried to continue in the tradition of books written by people who earn their living from honey production, such as R.O.B. Manley and Oliver Field.

I used to work in Finance so I know my way around a balance sheet and a spreadsheet. Nowadays I am lucky enough to be able to enjoy myself keeping bees, producing honey for local farm shops, whilst the long suffering Mrs Walrus (my wife Elaine) has a proper job!
