Albert Melvin

Al Melvin is a teacher, writer, and speaker. He is a Captain, USNR (Ret.) and a retired Arizona State Senator ('09-'15). His career has been in international trade and transportation, including 12 years in Asia and nine years at sea. He has a logistics consultant company at www.ameri-qic.com. He has taught college-level business management courses as an adjunct lecturer for 20 years. He is a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY, and the U.S. Naval War College, Newport, RI. He has an MBA from Thunderbird: School of Global Management, Phoenix, AZ (now part of ASU). He and his wife, with their Basset Hound, live in southern Arizona.
