Darren Benham

Darren Benham was born in Dublin's inner city in the mid 1970's. His first book "Stammer" details his experiences of growing up with a debilitating stutter along with how sport, and in particular hurling, gave him a voice.

He is a qualified accountant and runs his own business. He wants to cycle around the world, currently coaches his kids' hurling teams and thinks the 90's were the best decade for music, although REM's Green is his favourite album.

He enjoys reading David Foster Wallace and George Orwell and has agonised over the content and tone of this biography.
