Rex Conley

Rex Conley was born during the Second World War in Long Beach, California, into a family of the Gentile Black Irish and Native American background. His father was in the electric submarine Navy during the first World War, and his mother was a dancer in vaudeville. During his formative years, He grew up to the mentorship of the cellulose world of the movie theaters. Where the likes of John Wayne, Audie Murphy, Hop-along Cassidy, Superman and Geronimo were his heroes.

At the age of three Rex had fallen out of a tree, while searching the sky for Japanese Zeros, and when he was five, from the garage roof he fell while attempting to fly.

Orphaned at an early age, Rex was raised in Alaska by his aunt, who danced and played the piano in one of the many bars in the small mining town where they lived. Between the third and ninth grade, he only casually went to school. Under the tutelage of one of his aunt’s many friends, Rex learned the ways of the outdoors where he learned to hunt, fish, and play cards

After his stint in the Navy, Rex devoted his life to doing odd jobs, being married, and writing. Rex currently resides in Oregon with his aged wife of fifty years, and an unnamed dog.
