Jeremy Steig

Jeremy Steig (1942–2016) was an American jazz flutist, who is also known as a pioneer of jazz rock, or fusion. A gifted artist, he drew many of his LP covers, starting with his debut album Flute Fever. In addition to the regular concert flute, he played various flute-family instruments including piccolo, A-flat piccolo, alto flute, bass flute, and bass flute in F. He also recorded himself playing glass and plastic bottles percussively.
