Kelly G Greer

Kelly Greer was born on Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida in 1986. She taught elementary school for over a decade and was a reading specialist who worked with both struggling and advanced readers. She saw the need for a nonfiction book with strong text features for emergent readers so she decided to write one.

That dog on the front is her very own, Bandit and you’ll find his brother, Smokey, pictured throughout the book. A portion of each book sold helps shelter animals find their forever homes. When Kelly isn’t reading books herself, she’s running and hanging out with her twins, Madison and Mason.
