Robert Tisi

Robert Tisi grew up in the Niagara Region of Ontario in a bilingual, hard working, middle class family. He was the youngest of four boys and one girl. While in his 30's, Robert suffered a severe accident and his journey of healing guided him to a change in career, moving from heavy, physical labour in construction and steel, into the field of mental health as an Addictions Counsellor.

As a cancer and tracheotomy survivor, Robert has found his faith in God, pets and wildlife to be an extremely important support to him and nature is his favourite space to visit when needing rejuvenation and replenishing.

Presently, continuing in helping others in counselling, Robert feels drawn to the area of pet bereavement and from his own, personal experience in healing from the death of his beloved cat Daisy, he understands what it feels like to experience the myriad of emotions a loss like this is like. Knowing that the unconditional love from an animal is one that is beyond what words can describe, Robert has written his story about his journey with Daisy in hopes of helping others in this very important topic of healing from grief.
