Mike Gilles

Mike Gilles was employed by Michigan Tech University for thirty-five years spending a large part of his career writing and negotiating contracts for industrial funded university research projects. Writing “Faith is not important, it is everything!,” may be his first book but it very likely will not be his last. For several years, Mike shared preaching responsibilities with two other Elders at Grace Christian Fellowship, a church he helped establish in Calumet, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. The title of his book came to him while watching an episode of “The Crown,“ a Netflix Original series based on the British Royal Family. Prince Philip’s mother asked him, “How is your faith.” He answered, “It is dormant.” She said, “Let this be a Mother’s gift to her child, find yourself some faith, it helps… no its more than that, it is everything.”
